ICA S.p.A. presents  the newest “Paper” version of its famous RS20 Aromapack machine, resulting from its 40 years-long experience in manufacturing automatic lines for packaging flour.

The worldwide success of the RS20 Aromapack machine has been gained mostly due to its modular, flexible and reliable features and also its ability to produce solid and resistant bags, capable of protecting the most fragile products (biscuits, bakery products, etc.) thanks to an extremely delicate “break-free” system, described below.

The basic concept of the RS20 Aromapack Paper machine is simple, but an absolute innovation for a non-mandrel line: in a few seconds and by simply acting on the PLC menu the well-known heat-sealing line (which uses any kind of heat-sealing films, also rather thick and rigid ones) becomes a packaging line for making kraft paper bags.

Versatile is the adjective that describes at best this machine, but not only for the above mentioned flexible changeover system. The line may be supplied with the renowned Duplex FB67 horizontal forming unit, equipped with two forming devices, which enables the RS20 Aromapack Paper machine to use alternatively and with a few simple operations two different bag sizes, making the size changeover a truly quick operation.

It is also an economic machine for more than one reason: a few points of vinyl glue are all that the RS20 Aromapack Paper needs for forming beautiful kraft paper bags.

By making its own “homemade” bags, starting from reels of simple kraft paper, the RS20 Aromapack Paper machine enables to save in terms of time and money: film reels are surely less expensive than pre-made bags and also more readily available. With respect of the logistics in dealing with film reels and pre-made bags, the latter are more labour-intensive and require more space. Moreover, the RS20 Aromapack Paper line is equipped with an integrated automatic reel lifting system: this is a line designed to guarantee above all simple, fast and safe operations.

State-of-the-art. The RS20 Aromapack Paper machine is representative of today’s packaging market, in which quality is a must and esthetical results make the difference, thanks to its capability of packaging medium/large sizes and offering a wide variety of solutions for any packaging need. It makes perfectly squared and resistant bags, gable or flat top: the bag top may be closed completely even with a triple fold and fixed by means of labels, glue and/or tin-tie; the bag edges may be heat-sealed and/or well defined.

Last but not least, here are a few technical details, which help understanding the great advantages of the RS20 Aromapack Paper packaging machine.

The machine operating cycle takes place in various stations, which provides longer times for each operation (forming/heat-sealing/opening/filling/closing/etc.). This is the reason why it is capable of handling fragile products without breaking them. Its modularity keeps each one of these phases separate and guarantees an excellent accuracy in every one of them (the heat-sealing operations are absolutely product-free, which guarantees maximum bag resistance and tightness, also when packaging powdery products). All this takes place at very competitive operational speeds, like for example 1 Kg at 50-55 bags/minute.

Needless to say that in the event that this packaging line may need to be checked, updated or supported, it has been prepared for tele-servicing.
