THE COMPANY:
established in 1963 in the heart of the packaging valley, ICA has
flourished in the packaging industry thanks to the natural talent of
its founders and to their capacity to involve ad motivate others in
working for the same objective, of designing and manufacturing
excellent automatic packaging machines. With its 150 employees, an
annual turnover of approx. 23 million € and several associated
companies, ICA is determined to continue in doing what it does best:
turn ideas into machines!
|
THE MACHINES:
sturdy and reliable mechanical
movements with automatic central lubrication systems governed by the
most advanced PLC control systems. The trouble-free operation of our
machines is guaranteed by 45 years of successful installations in
difficult working environments like the sugar and chemical
industry.ICA’s R&D Dept. dedicates as much effort to designing new
machines as to updating the existing ones, because good ideas last.
|
AUTOMATION:
Fully automatic, that is from the
storage silos to the finished shipping bundle without manual
intervention: the best hygienic and functional conditions. ICA
supplies complete packaging lines since it manufactures also filling
systems (various kinds of fillers and weighers), check-weighers and
shrink-wrap bundling machines. Perfect synchronization with any
other kind of end-of-line equipment.
|
WHAT IS PACKED:
a wide range of products in powders,
granules and pieces, especially foodstuffs like coffee, tea, flour,
sugar, rice, cookies, biscuits, candies, pasta, grated cheese, etc.,
but also detergent powders and chemical/pharmaceutical products
|
THE PACKS:
a great variety of bags and packs
made of flexible packaging materials: pillow-shape, with
side-gussets, flat bottom, paket (flat top and bottom), under vacuum,
stand-up with 3 sides sealed, bags with sealed edges, off-set
longitudinal sealing, etc. And now Pronto Coffee makes coffee pods
inside single-serving pouches.
|
THE PACK SIZES:
in addition to covering a wide range of weights, most of our
machines feature easy and quick size changeovers and ICA offers also
the possibility of having at least another size already installed,
adjusted and ready to use on the same machine (FB67 Duplex).
|
THE PACKAGING MATERIALS
USED:
almost every kind of material on
the market, in most cases from reel, but some machines work from
pre-made bags. From simple, low-cost and ecological kraft paper to
the most complex ones made up of 3 or 4 layers for the best
protection. ICA makes machines that work well with the packaging
materials available in the country of destination so as to guarantee
low running costs and trouble-free operation
|
UNDER VACUUM:
since coffee packaging is our field of expertise, vacuum packaging
(also with gas-flushing) is another one of those things we do very
well at every operational speed; for a longer shelf-life and better
product preservation.
|
DEGASSING VALVES:
coffee packaging (but not only)
requires also degassing valves, so all ICA machines can fit the
Aroma System degassing valve (or others)
|
EASY-OPENING AND
RECLOSING DEVICES:
making consumer-friendly packs is
our concern, so we have designed a whole range of devices, from
traditional adhesive tape and labels, to tin-tie, peel-off,
tear-off, zippers and many more
|
QUALITY:
Our machines all over the world
certify our quality every day,
for
Ica SpA
and
for Aroma System
srl.
|
SAFETY:
our lines are manufactured in full compliance with the most stringent Directives in terms of operator, product and machine safety, including: Machinery Safety Directive 98/37/EC, EMC Electromagnetic compatibility Directive 2004/108/EC, EMC Low voltage Directive 2006/95/EC , National laws with acknowledgment of EEC Regulations, Harmonized standards EN–ISO 12100 (Safety of machinery) and EN–ISO 60204–1 (Safety of machinery-Electrical equipment of machines).
|
PATENTS:
the ever-lasting technological
developments have allowed Gino Rapparini to gain a considerable knowledge,
which led our company to obtain several international patents.
Its innovative technology and the originality of its solutions are proven by more than 200 patents all over the world and by the official recognition of the WIPO INVENTOR AWARD “Excellent inventor for the entrepreneurial activity and innovation in the industrial packaging industry" awarded by the World Intellectual Property Organization (Rome, 4th October, 2010).
